When To Install Risers & Secondary Safety Devices
While your septic system will function properly without above-grade access points or secondary safety device, we strongly recommend both for stress-free ownership.
Risers & Lids
Risers allow for easier access to your septic tank. Anytime access is needed to either pump the tank or troubleshoot a problem, the tank will need to be uncovered. By installing risers to grade, it makes this work faster, less messy (no digging) and significantly cheaper. And with risers installed, you will be better prepared for any septic service or emergency.
Secondary Safety Devices
The Secondary Safety Device is usually installed as part of the standard riser installation. The goal of a Secondary Safety Device is to protect against anyone or anything from falling into the septic tank if the riser lid fails for any reason. It is purely a safety issue and does not impact the function of your septic system. It is a critical part of any Stress-Free septic system.
What To Expect
When Installing Risers or Secondary Safety Devices
Scheduling & Pre-Visit
Easy Open Scheduling
Outside of emergencies, Outright runs an open schedule. This means that we will schedule your installation for a specific week, and let you know the day we are coming out.
Pre-Visit Call
To best prepare for your service, one of our technicians will give you a call before your visit. This will give us a chance to confirm the details of your system and answer any questions you might have.
Transparent Pricing
As part of our pre-visit call, we will give you a clear estimate of the cost of your service. Surprise costs are not stress-free, so our goal is to minimize any surprises to your wallet.
Day Of Service
Friendly, Expert Technicians
Our team is made of the best technicians in septic. We take pride in taking care of you, your property and your septic system. And if you are home and have questions, we will be glad to expertly answer anything you want to ask us.
No Need To Be Home
Since our accessories installations do not touch anything inside your home, you don't actually need to be present during your service. If you would like to be onsite for your service, please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate your request.
About An Hour On Site
Installations are typically completed in under an hour, though this may vary based on the complexity of your installation, and whether or not your tank lids are exposed. If we have to dig to access your tank, this typically adds an extra 30-60 minutes to the job.
An Upgraded System
By the time we leave, your new risers, lids or secondary safety devices will have been expertly installed, and you'll enjoy a little more peace of mind around your septic system.
After-Service Follow-Up
Detailed Service Report
After each installation visit, we will provide a detailed report of the work we did, including photos from our visit.
Stress-Free Recommendations
You just checked another potential stressor off your list, and should be in great shape! But we will still send you notes on any other recommendations we have to keep your septic system running smoothly for a long time to come.
Reminders For Future Service Visits
Part of our stress-free septic approach is to set you up with reminders for future service visits - on your desired time frame. Or, sign up for our Stress-Free Service plan to get annual system checkups and discounted services.
